Travelar Cookie Policy

Effective date: 8 November 2026Last updated: 8 November 2026

1. About This Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Travelar, operated by Incroc Limited ("Travelar", "we", "us" or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and mobile apps (the "Platform"). It should be read with our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, which explain how we handle personal data more generally.

2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. Similar technologies do the same job and include local storage, pixels, tags, software development kits (SDKs) in our apps, and device identifiers such as advertising IDs. We use "cookies" in this policy to cover all of them.

Cookies can be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser or app, or persistent cookies, which stay until they expire or you delete them. They can be first-party, set by Travelar, or third-party, set by another company whose service we use.

3. Why We Use Cookies

We do not use cookies to collect your payment card details. Payments are handled by payment providers on their own secure pages or forms.

4. Cookies Set by Others

Some cookies on the Platform are set by third parties that provide services to us or that you ask for, such as analytics providers ([analytics provider]), advertising and measurement partners ([advertising partner]), customer-support chat ([chat provider]), maps and embedded content ([maps provider]), and payment providers ([payment provider]). Suppliers whose pages you open from the Platform may set their own cookies, which are governed by their policies. We do not control third-party cookies, so please check their privacy and cookie notices.

5. Your Choices

Cookie settings. When you first visit the Platform, a banner lets you accept all, reject non-essential, or choose by category, where the law requires your consent. You can change your choices at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer of the website or in the app settings. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not affect your ability to search or book.

Your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop sign-in, search or booking from working.

Your phone. In the iOS and Android settings you can limit ad tracking, reset your advertising ID and control app permissions, including location.

Browser privacy signals. Where your law requires us to honour signals such as Global Privacy Control, we treat them as a request to reject non-essential cookies. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals.

Analytics and advertising opt-outs. Some providers offer their own opt-out tools, which we link to in our cookie settings where available.

6. Where Consent Is Required

Privacy and electronic-communications laws in many places, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria and other African countries with data protection laws, require consent or a clear opt-out for cookies that are not strictly necessary. Where that applies, we do not set those cookies until you agree, and we keep a record of your choice. Where the law does not require consent, we still give you the controls in section 5.

7. Personal Data and Retention

Some cookie data can identify you, such as an advertising ID or IP address, and is personal data. We use and protect it as described in our Privacy Policy. We keep cookie data only as long as the cookie lasts or as long as needed for the purpose, normally no more than 24 months, and then delete or anonymise it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when we add or change the cookies we use or when the law changes. We will post the new version with a new "last updated" date and, for material changes that affect your consent, ask for your choice again.
